Our client, who had just moved to New England from South America, hired Décor Aid to give a modern flair to a house he bought in Stamford, CT.

The existing space was incredibly suburban, so our client asked us to redesign a more personal home for his family.

Along with updating the current home, we were tasked with partitioning off areas of the home to create discreet spaces. A television room has been created in the basement where the whole family can gather. With the parents working remotely, the home offices had to be designed in the quietest areas of the house, while maintaining a continuous interior design.

The family patriarch is a photographer who wanted to show his original pieces. We’ve complemented his work by sourcing furniture that balances eclectic and contemporary elements of the home to create a continuum with the man’s signature pictorial style.

With a grove of trees on the property, we framed the windows with white treatments to draw the view of nature and emphasize the angular architecture of the house.
