When an Upper West Side family decided to remodel their dated maisonette along Riverside Drive, they hired Decor Aid to create a spacious, modern home that could accommodate their growing family.

By reconfiguring the duplex layout, we were able to set up areas of the house where everyone could gather: a family room for the movie night and a small study.

We distinguished the family area from the reading nook with a bright and abstract rug by Horchow that wraps a section by Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. A round, hand-woven rug made the library feel relaxed but refined. For flexible seating, we have made use of a bench by Lillian August that connects the two rooms.

Located on Riverside Drive, this family decided to add naturalistic design elements to their space. A table made from reclaimed wood fits perfectly with this aesthetic. Lucite materials ensure a breathable, feather-light feeling.
Jonathan Adler lights like the dining room chandelier have been placed throughout the duplex. Ultimately, we managed to create a chic, contemporary palace for this honored family.
