Put your feet up
There is nothing better than putting your feet up at the end of the day. And if you’re looking for a place to kick back, consider swapping out your coffee table for an ottoman. Add a tray to coral books and knickknacks, and your ottoman doubles as a coffee table.

Add a bumper
If an ottoman doesn’t have enough space to recline, consider adding a bumper to your section. It adds extra seating to your living room without the need for an extra armrest. To get clear lines of sight in this Gramercy Park apartment, we’ve placed a bumper sofa in the living room. It’s great for kicking back and relaxing while maintaining the chic, functionalist aesthetic of the room.

A couch should never be without a pillow. The traditional design standard is to put two pillows on either side of the couch, but we won’t withhold it from you if you decide to pile a few more.

Throw blankets
