Nobody wants to work on their weekend getaway, but sometimes it’s inevitable. When NYC interior design firm Décor Aid was asked to set up a home office in a Hamptons vacation home, they made sure to create a relaxed Hamptons vibe.
The room in the attic of the house combines bleached reclaimed wood, reminiscent of driftwood, with tubular Wassily chrome chairs, industrial pendant lights and cool mid-mod sofas.
The designers took advantage of the interesting spaces in the attic, used a dormer window as a window seat, and added a geometric room divider to divide the space between work and sitting area.
Result? Ideas that can be translated into any home office.
