Black and Green Fitgrid

Do you remember our post on inviting lifestyle into interior design? If not, check out the last few weeks’ grid from the living room floor of our latest design project. It features furniture from Design Within Reach and accessories from Bloomingdale’s and Gucci. Meanwhile, check out our original grid, put together on the bedroom floor, featuring Immunocologie toiletries and fashion accessories from Hermes, Ralph Lauren and Jaeger-Lecoultre.

To recap: “Decor Aid believes that lifestyle encompasses everything that makes up your life. Inspired by lifestyle imagery known as outfit grids, and to further demonstrate our beliefs (as if offering interior design services by the hour wasn’t enough!), Let’s bring the #FITOUTGRID to life. “We definitely understand style and trends, and we also realize that your home (and wardrobe) is not entirely dependent on the time of year. While personal style is constantly evolving, it is in some ways timeless and need not be in line with the fad of the moment. Rest assured that Decor Aid values all elements of daily life without excluding pastimes and downtime.

Layers of different materials create depth and fascination. By mixing elements like marble with vintage leather and glass, the room functions as an ensemble.

URBAN OASIS: Nestled on the east side of Midtown is our customer’s Pied-à-Terre. The financier wanted his home to be modern yet warm. Our designers have transformed these two bedrooms into an urban oasis. The use of cool shades of gray and blue (his favorite color) accented with neutral tones, soft textures, and nifty brass accents created an intimate yet modern space. The challenge was to stay on budget. His love of mid-century furniture made this difficult, but Lauren and Alex got to work. They explored auctions, consignment shops and landed Sigurd Ressel’s beautiful Falcon Chairs at a bargain price.

In the grid we see more of the personality of our customers in the Dining & Bar Edition by Urban Oasis #FITOUTGRID
