Modern Beds

The main furniture in one bedroom is undoubtedly the bed. The modern beds are available in a wide range of options, making it quite difficult for one to decide on a particular bed. The beds today have many features such as matches, extra headrests, different shapes, custom shapes etc. Let us look at the different categories of beds available on the market today.

Wooden Frame – This is the most common type of modern bed that is on the market and largely preferred. The wood frame comes in different types of wood, which can range from pressed wood to the natural hardwood. The natural deciduous trees are again preferred options here, but they can be quite expensive. The advantage here is that they are quite durable compared to pressed wood.

Wooden frame with pillow – The wooden frame bed comes with a different variation, with pillow laid over the frame. This type of modern bed has become quite popular in recent years. The pillow placed over the frame makes them robust and also acts as a protective layer for the wooden frame itself. The disadvantage here, however, is that these beds can be extremely expensive depending on their size.

Metal Frame – The metallic frame beds are usually among the least preferred variants of modern beds. The only advantage they have is price, because they are quite cheap compared to the other two variants. They are not as durable as the other two and long-term use of the bed is generally not suggested. These beds are regarded as short-term use and are usually used in hospitals where they can be adapted easily, but at the same time they can also be replaced easily.
